Music Therapy and Autism

EmaxHealth brings us a great article by Sarah Vincent that looks at the positive neurological effects of music therapy on Autism Spectrum Disorder.

It was found that “the effectiveness of music therapy comes from its ability to function through sub-cortical, non-cognitive pathways that are indigenous to fundamental physiological response mechanisms”.

Thus, music therapy can help the client through non-traditional pathways! This really demonstrates the effectiveness of the science behind music therapy!
