Music Therapy in Hospitals

This week’s End of Week Advocacy brings us an interview from Harry Connick Jr. about a phenomenal Music Therapist, Jackie Macri, and her work at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Jackie states that bringing music into the hospital room allows children to feel safe, process their pain, and make choices, something that they often cannot do in a hospital setting. She is one of many Music Therapists making a difference in the lives of children, and we are very grateful to her for that!
